Trouble connecting the LG LP097QX1

Post by Chris_TCN »

I have a problem connecting the LG LP097QX1 to the Qualia Bare Driver Board. The cable coming from the display panel seems to wide to fit in. Is there some kind of trick?

Did you release the connector socket? I believe it flips up.

Thanks, we have special note regarding something like this on the product page.

This driver is available for advanced users only! The Molex connector that is used to connect to the LG display is insanely delicate and breaks very very very easily if you are not very careful! If you order this driver board and break the connector, it may no longer work and we cannot repair it. If you break it you may have to buy another driver. We do not offer any returns, refunds or replacements! Do not purchase if you are not comfortable with this risk!

Is that what you mean, that black connector needs to be in place, turned to the left gently?

Done that, still same picture. White screen, it is detected but no windows picture. Does the white part of connector also move? Do you have maybe a good picture how far needs to be connector inserted?

Best regards!

Hello everyone!

I have troubles with Order Confirmation No: 1147736-8140918626 and 1147735-3659616954 (Retina Display (LP097QX1) and two Qualia Bare Driver Boards).
Both Qualia Bare driver boards are tested alternately with a MacBook and Windows 7 computer. The Retina Display has been connected to the Qualia Bare Driver Board (cable are plugged in and the plastic clasp on the ribbon is pushed down). I have power adapter of 12V 5A and Displayport-cable. But I cant get picture out of it. I can see only a white picture on the Retina Display. Both computers cant detect the Retina Display (LP097QX1).
Do you have an idea how to fix the problem?

Hello,

I found the problem. We ordered the Retina Display (LP097QX1) (Order Confirmation No: 1147735-3659616954) but shipped was the Samsung Display (LTL097QL01-W01).
The pin assignment of the display is different. Can we change the Samsung Display (LTL097QL01-W01) to the Retina Display (LP097QX1)?
