Hello everybody,
I decided to create a new post because i don't find any post which can help me.
I used to work with PN532 breakout board to develop my program. Once finished I wanted to use the PN532 chip in my own design (with the MCU on the same PCB).
The problem is the chip (PN532) doesn not respond ("getFirmwareVersion()" return none). NXP support told me to ask you to have technical support.
Does the firmware already inside the chip ? It work fine on your breakout board so I think I have forgotten something with this chip.
Thanks all.
Sébastien

Re: PN532 chip does not respond
the chip is not programmed at adafruit at all, it is something with your design!

Re: PN532 chip does not respond
But I try with your design too (PN532 breakout board V1.3). The PCB is exactly the same as your and it's still not respond. Is PN532 so hard to solder ?
Thank you for your help.

Re: PN532 chip does not respond
It must be either a problem with your board fabrication or possibly a defective chip. We do not alter the chips in any way when building our boards. They are exactly as received from NXP.
