Hello,
Something seems to have happened when I tried to delete a couple files on my audio FX board. now when I mount the board on my mac it does not show a name and the files are corrupted. (see image)
I've tried to re-image the board but I get this error
When I try to rescan the .img file I get this error
Please advise.
Thanks!

It looks like your disk image may have gotten corrupted.
Try downloading a fresh copy and see if that works.

I tried downloading another copy of the disk image. No luck, same thing.

Hrm.. let's do a quick check of data integrity.
Open Terminal, navigate to wherever you have the .zip and .img files stored, and enter:
assuming they're both in the same directory. If you have them in different directories, do them individually.
The hashes you get should be:
Open Terminal, navigate to wherever you have the .zip and .img files stored, and enter:
Code: Select all
md5 SFX16mb.*
The hashes you get should be:

MD5 (SFX16mb.img) = dd1c643be700dca18c137db43f304e6b

Re: Audio FX 16mb not mounting properly Mac
Ok, I've found the solution. While in Disk Utility I first mounted the SFX16mb.img file and selected the mounted disc (white disc icon) as the source instead of the actual .img file. I was able to re-image the board and I'm back up and running.
Follow up question:
In my project I'm using the forground & backgound triggering as in the tutorial https://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-aud ... triggering
is there any way to cycle through more than one file for the background file (named T10HOLDL.WAV) so that each time trigger 10 is triggered a different file will play? I tried naming the files T10HOLDL0.WAV T10HOLDL1.WAV but that didn't work.

That would be the TnnNEXT.WAV trigger:

TnnNEXT.WAV doesnt allow me to interrupt the background sound with a forground sound. Using the TnnNEXT.WAV plays the entire file before another file can be played. is there a way to cycle through more than one TxxHOLDL.WAV?

Re: Audio FX 16mb not mounting properly Mac
Not on a single pin.
You could set up multiple pins at the high end of the list with TnnHOLD files, then trigger different pins every time you interrupt with a foreground sound. Either that, or make a longer file with the whole list of sounds you want to play.
