Hi, we purchased a Adafruit Mono
2.5W Class D Audio Amplifier - PAM8302 PID: 2130
I am pretty sure at this point it is defective. We have measured both the
inputs to it and the battery voltages and all are correct going in. We have
also connected a variety of output devices, but get no sound out no matter
what devices or connections we try. The volume pot also seems to have no
effect. We tried both differential input and not. Not sure what else we can
try. So unless you have a suggestion about what might be wrong, is it
possible to have this replaced?
Thanks, Mike

Post a photo showing your hardware and connections, just to confirm those are good.
800x600 images ususally work best.

Hi
Posted, four photos. Sorry for the delay, we had been traveling. Interestingly, this had been sitting disconnected for the interim. When we first hooked it up as shown, it worked perfectly for about 2 minutes, then failed. Now completely silent. We rechecked all connections and verified the battery is providing the correct voltage (as shown). Nothing. So the problem seems intermittent.
best and thanks, Mike

You need to solder the wire connections. Wrapped wire connections are notoriously bad at handling high-frequency signals.

It can work intermittently, but having it work is a matter of luck which can change as soon as you touch a wire.
Solder the connections and see if it still has the problem.
