Two bricked boards

Post by dannya »

I have a Pro Trinket that when plugged into USB or FTDI friend, only the green light goes on, never the red light.

I also have a Huzzah which always displays the dim red light, and I can't get it to receive programming via FTDI friend.

Is there anything I can try to un-brick both of these?

Thanks!

You can try to repair the bootloader on the pro trinket.

Please email [email protected] with a link to this thread for a replacement esp8266 HUZZAH

Thanks Rick!

I ordered the replacement Huzzah.

As for the Pro Trinket 5V, it didn't seem to work.

Here's a screenshot from the terminal window: http://cl.ly/image/3D2O3j3N1547

Here's a picture of the boards: http://cl.ly/image/3x1y0n0U1t1F

Am I doing anything wrong?

Thanks!

Could you post the URL to the Github repo where you got the firmware updater please?

We have both Trinket and Pro Trinket updaters, and I think you may have a Pro connected to software looking for the little sister.

You have a communication problem with the Pro Trinket. It should be returning 950F for the signature. You're getting 200. That's why it can't find the image.
Try some different jumper wires. Maybe move around the breadboard a bit.

Tried a different breadboard and brand-new jumper wires, still says 200.

What can I try next?

Thanks!
