Can I use a LM386 amplifier with VS1053?

Post by shengzhu »

I am trying to connect a speaker to VS1053, the only amplifier I have now is a LM386. But I don't know how to connect VS1053 to the LM386 amplifier, then I tried with guessing, and the output is really bad with loud noises.

Yeah, your connections are wrong.

You need to connect the GND pin to the GND opposite 5v, not to AGND.

AGND connects to IN- on pin 2. IN+ on pin 3 connects either to the FX Board's L output or its R output.

The LM386 is a single-channel amplifier, so you need one chip per channel.
