Permissions for USBtinyISP in Fedora 17

by MicahCarrick on Thu Aug 09, 2012 11:36 pm

Hey folks,

Just assembled my USBtinyISP and to get permissions working for regular users in Fedora Linux I did the following:

Code: Select all | TOGGLE FULL SIZE
echo "SUBSYSTEM==\"usb\", ATTR{product}==\"USBtiny\", ATTR{idProduct}==\"0c9f\", ATTRS{idVendor}==\"1781\", MODE=\"0666\"" > /usr/lib/udev/rules.d/99-custom.rules
udevadm trigger

* Note: That echo line may wrap when it's displayed here. That is 3 commands not 4: `su`, `echo` and `udevadm`.
