Will a 0.1uf Polyster-Film Capacitor work?

Post by d0773d »

I managed to render the bypass 0.1uf cap(104) useless(don't ask :-/) LOL. At the moment I have a 0.1uf Polyester-Film capacitor handy. Will that capacitor work for the bypass cap?

Do,

Probably. But there are exceptions and size is sometimes an issue.
What is the product or circuit?

HI john444,
The circuit/project is the USBtinyISP. I ended up trying the cap out, which seemed to work just fine; however, I did find a 104 ceramic cap and switched the poly film cap out with the 104 ceramic cap.

Much better fit.
If it is working well - there you go.
