Plugged my USBtinyISP in and nothing (pics too)

Post by I_am_bad_at_this »

I hope it is a simple dumb problem, but i am 12, and a begginer solderer (note the crappy solder job). If any one could tell me what is wrong with my USBtinyISP that would be great. I would love to get this thing up and running. I tried both usb ports on my mac and not even a red light came, and i have downloaded all the things listed in the learn avr setup for mac. Plz help.

Definitely a common mistake. For one thing, this is 2 sided PCB, as far as routing of the traces go. Things could have been even worse, if it were 3 or more layers, and one of the connections was on one of the middle layers, so that it doesn't look like its connected to anything on neither top nor bottom layer.
