looking for Fedora 8 user to test

Post by pcfe »

Hello,

could someone who has Fedora 8 installed on his box please give the latest avrdude that was pushed to the testing repo a run and provide feedback?

Code: Select all

# yum --enablerepo=updates-testing install avrdude
should install the package just fine for you.
You can either provide feedback here or directly in the Bugzilla bug I filed at https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=426988

The feedback I am looking for is:
  • - does it install with all required dependencies
    - will it talk to USBtiny and allow you to flash an EEPROM
If no one steps forward, I will just order a kit, but of course delivery will take some time, so if somebody could expedite testing this would of course benefit all Fedora users.

(You'll notice in the bugzilla that yes, I am a Red Hat employe, but all this is because of private interest and not in my function as RH employee)
