Wrong diodes

Post by Fiddy »

So i recently built a USBTinyISP...and it doesn't work. I took a look at the diodes that came with the kit, and they were 1N5927 diodes, which happen to be 12v diodes.

Those really shouldn't work, right?

although they are hard to read, the diodes are 1N5227 type, not 1N5927 - 3.6V zeners, which is the correct value

Then why won't this thing work. The green light won't even turn on.

I'm having a zener diode issue too. Upon inspecting the diodes, I realized that I have the 1N5226B type, which is rated for 3.3V.

How many does this kit use? Three? I ordered around 50 when I needed them last time for a project, so if you want some, pm me, and I can drop a couple in the mail for you.
