Are you sure you're testing the right pin?

Yes. Positive 100% . I checked the pins before plug anything on it. 3 times also the isp plug has a little arrow for pin 1 . Cant miss that . Pin 2 is vc 5.0vts PIN 6 is ground . After remove the jumper I still have 5.0vts . Thx

Well, if you look at the schematic, you'll see that there's absolutely no place for that to come from, unless your buffer chip is slagged. You are checking this with the target disconnected, right?

Yes. I disconnected the target and placed a led on it when I disconnect the jumper the led stays on.I placed the led on pin 2 and 6 of the 6 pin isp cable.

Well, I guess your buffer chip must be shorted out somehow. Please email [email protected] with a link to this thread for a replacement USBtinyISP kit.

Hello, I have the same situation here, but if i remove the buffer chip I do not get the 5 volt with the jumper off, I will check with a new 74HAC125N chip, as you suggest that it may be in fault.

Hi . Yes you might have a faulty buffer chip. Let me ask you did you recently purchased this unit?

I have it since nearly a year, but the fact is the programmer is still working.

I replaced the buffer chip per a MC74F125N, everything it's ok now.

As soon as I get a 74AHC125N I will use it instead of the MC74F125N. The MC74F125N operate only at 5v, the 74AHC125N allow lower voltage, and so can be use as level shifter.
