Uno powered from battery? code02

Post by bikehikeclimb »

I was going to show the second tut to my neighbor and so I unhooked my uno and when I plugged in the 9v battery nothing happened with the leds. I checked all the wiring and found nothing wrong. I plugged in the usb and still nothing happened. So I resent the sketch and it worked again. But when I tried to either use a wall wart, battery, or the usb (when already unplugged) nothing happens with the leds. The power led is on and the ‘L’ led is blinking.

Am I doing something wrong or am I missing something for using external voltage source with an uno?
