So I have followed many different install procedures for installing the drivers for Arduino UNO. I plug it in... Have the FTDI drivers downloaded... And then I go to device manager (Vista) and it is listed under "Other Devices" I right click and do update, go for the file, and then click the driver cannot be found in this file.
What is going on? Any help would be appreciated.

I think I have discovered my issue. I read on a different thread that you need to use different drivers than the tutorial labels.

For the Uno, you need the one at the top level of the "Drivers" folder. Not the one in the "FTDI USB Drivers" sub-folder.
