New to Arduino and Programming...
So I'm new to Arduino and programming / coding in general, but I have a few ideas for projects I'd like to complete....mainly surrounding beer brewing and temperature control. Anyway, I have to get started somewhere, so I need to buy a starter pack. I'm just curious why Adafruit's starter pack only includes a mini bread board instead of the larger ones I typically see. Is this harder or easier to work with? Just trying to get some advice as a newbie. Any help is greatly appreciated.

The mini breadboard in the starter pack is that is is around the same size as the proto shield. The idea is that you can arrange and test a circuit on the breadboard, and then transfer it pin-by-bin to the protoshield.
Bigger breadboards are available in the store, if you need them. It's not a question of smaller=easier - it's just a question of how much space you need for your project.

Is it a solderless breadboard?

The mini breadboard is solderless. The protoshield is for soldering
