Hi,
I'm a complete Arduino noob, but I have a programming background and I'm also fairly "techie" (can solder, know how to use a multimeter, have made breadboards, etc.) I am considering purchasing this Arduino Starter Kit:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009UK ... H0DF4QWOOO
Question: What tools will I need? I saw a blog post somewhere that suggests some "second hands" (those little clip things) and a soldering iron (with a sucker, cleaner, etc) and also a multimeter and some other stuff.
So do I need any of that for this kit? Can someone make a list of helpful tools, and also make some recommendations of WHAT BRAND/MODEL to buy? My soldering days were long ago, but you know, it's like riding a bike, I'm sure I can pick it up quickly again.
Thanks!
Hal

Re: Tools for starter kit?
The Arduino Starter Kit is arranged for a breadboard, so you don't need much else.
Take a look at Ladyada's Toolkit for ideas of what else you'll pick up eventually: https://www.adafruit.com/products/136
