Thermocouple Type-K Glass Braid Insulated

by boldham on Thu Dec 20, 2012 2:04 am

Hi there:
I bought the above thermocouple and I was disappointed to see find heat shrink tubing on the sensor end. The tubing indicates 125 degree Celsius. The tubing is not pictured on the storefront and I intend to use this at temperatures over 250 degrees. Could I swap it for one without the heat shrink tubing or return it? Thanks for your help, Brendan

You can remove the heat-shrink. It is only there to keep the fiberglass sheath from fraying.
Or, if you prefer, you can return it unused for a refund. You can contact with a link to this thread to arrange a return.
