Hello,
I recently purchased the5V adapter (aka 5.25V adapter) from adafruit along with my arduino Yun. Yun takes in 5V which is supplied by the adapter plugged into the wall. I want to install my yun away from the wall outlet, but still need to use the AC power. I had one USB cable lying around from Logitech (Male to Female). I was thinking of plugging that cable between the 5V adapter and the original USB cable powering the Yun.
My only concern is- Can i safely operate yun with such a longer wire about (1.25meter long)? Would it cause any significant voltage drop preventing me from using Yun? Can it damage the yun? I don't have any device to take any measurements. I am just looking for some advice. It seems like a common question. I exactly didn't know how to search for this kind of problem, so i was hoping if you guys could help me out. Any suggestions would be sincerely appreciated.
Thanks for your help.

If the power supply is working you won't harm the Yun. Voltage drop may be an issue depending on the quality of the extension cable but I have done it with the pi and it worked.
