Post by klee6167 »

If I mount GPS shield on top of Wifi Board, will both of them work fine ?

They should. You may have some signal degradation but they are on different frequencies.

In order to get the gps location and store it to SD card on wifi shield, what pin from gps shield do i have to connect to wifi shield ?(wifi shield is fully mounted on uno and i am trying to connect wifi and gps by wiring since both cant use 10~13pins at the same time..) I know i have to connect 5v, ground, pin 7 and 8 for rx and tx, and pin 10(but to the different pin on wifi board) , but what about pin 11 ~13?

Could you post clear pictures of your board, any soldering you did and the connections to it? The GPS does not need to use any of the pins in common with the wifi board (except power and ground.

I don't have the devices right now with me.. all I have connected was I put the wifi shield on uno. And I connected gnd, 5V and Rx & TX (each on pin 3 and 2) by wire. I was wondering if I need to connect any more of gps pins to wifi shield so that I can store the location info to SD card on wifi board.
