EZ-Key key-commands not send!!!

Post by onnecrezee »

I'm using a bluefruit ez-key https://www.adafruit.com/product/1535

Everything works fine. I power it up and it makes connection to my computer etc.!
But when I connect a button to (for example) pin 1 and ground, and I push the button, nothing happens. Not even the 'key' led will light up.

This is the third bluefruit that I have this issue with, so it's very unlikely that all three of them don't work properly.

I hope you can help me out here!

Thanx!

Could you post clear pictures of your board and the connections to it?

I wasn't able to make pictures so I make a little image with what I had connected to the Bluefruit ez-key.

What are the specs of the device you powering it with?
Here is the default switch-to-key mapping:
#0 - Up Arrow
#1 - Down Arrow
#2 - Left Arrow
#3 - Right Arrow
#4 - Return
#5 - Space
#6 - the number '1'
#7 - the number '2'
#8 - lowercase 'w'
#9 - lowercase 'a'
#10 - lowercase 's'
#11 - lowercase 'd'
You can customize these with a little bit of effort, see the Remapping Buttons page.

I'm powering it with a 12V DC Adapter.

I know the default key-commands.
But the problem is, that when I push the button, nothing happens. Not even the 'key' led lights up.
