3.5" TFT using 8-BIT.. Is there a simple way to mirror every

Post by BowDown »

I'm looking to have this screen lay flat on my dash, and have it reflect off one of the Garmin GPS semi transparent reflectors.. But I was wondering if there was a simple way to tell the AdaFruit library to mirror everything? Seems like some people have had stuff mirror on them as a result of bad coding in the 8-bit library.. anyway I can get a copy of that? LOL!

There's no simple way to get mirroring, except with the bug.
If you're serious about the buggy code, here's the CPP file. Put it in your Adafruit_TFTLCD library folder
Adafruit_TFTLCD.cpp.zip
Adafruit_TFTLCD.cpp with mirrored text bug

Well if this works for me then I'll take it! Thanks!

Was working great! Then backlight just died :(.

Was running the 5v+/Gnd off my SparkFun RedBoard? I double-checked the breakout board on the 3.5" LCD is getting power in the correct polarity, but she be dead. No backlight. :(

Any warranty on this thing?

Can you post a picture of the board so we can check the soldering?

BTW: That black strip is double-sided 3m tape. Made life easier holding the ribbon cable in place while soldering.
