CC3300 Shield Problem

Post by johntreacy »

Is there a way to reset this shield? I seem to have put it in a bad state.

It was working fine and then I tried merging some working WiFi code with some other working code and I overlooked a pin conflict. After that, I could not get the shield to work. Sample sketches from the library all hit the "Couldn't begin()! Check your wiring?" condition.

Did I fry this thing by bad pin assignments?

Thanks,
John

Just to check, have you completely disconnected power and let it sit for a while?

Thanks - I thought I had deleted the post - I am back up and running again. I did walk away from it and leave it unpowered and then I brought up the basic hardware test sketch and it worked. Its running pretty well now, except I haven't been able to get smartconfig to work its magic again.

Glad to hear it's working in general.

SmartConfig has, shall we say, a bit of personality.. if you continue to have problems, post another topic and we'll see what we can do to help.
