Forum Posting SQL Errors

Post by LelandLong »

I keep having errors when trying to create a post here tonight.

Anyone else getting SQL errors when posting here tonight?

SQL ERROR [ mysql4 ]

Incorrect string value: '\xF4\x8F\xB0\xB2\xF4\x8F...' for column 'post_text' at row 1 [1366]

An SQL error occurred while fetching this page. Please contact the Board Administrator if this problem persists.

It seems to be related somehow to copy/paste of text.

Raw typing seems to work okay.

Haven't seen anything like that myself, but I'll let the web team know about it.

Thanks for mentioning it!

Apparently it had something to do with Unicode in the pasted text.

The logs don't contain the text that caused the problem though, and the web team would like to look at the data. Would you send a copy of it to [email protected] with a link to this thread and "WEB TEAM" in the subject please?
