LiPoly Backpack JST

Post by FlyingThinkTank »

Hi, I just got a LiPoly backpack (2124) and was wondering if it would be feasible to remove the JST connector and solder the battery leads directly to the backpack. I only want to do this because my project calls for as much space saving as possible. Any tips on how to remove the connector would be appreciated.

Thanks!

If you don't plan to use it in the future you can cut it off one wire at a time so as not to short the battery.

Just an update: I was able to chop away at it with some small side cutters and it popped right off. As a bonus, it still works!
