Hello,
I just recently bought some parts from Adafruit, Order 892842-2515829441, around the 08 of October
All parts of the order work nicely (In particular the "Bluefruit LE Micro - Bluetooth Low Energy + ATmega32u4", 2661 ) , but there is unfortunately one exception, the "Bluefruit LE Sniffer - Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE 4.0) - nRF51822", 2269.
I carefully read your instructions, installed the FTDI driver and the Nordic Sniffer software.
When I plug the sniffer stick in, Windows creates a new com port, using the FTDI driver previously installed - good.
But that's alredy all that happens, Nordic's nRF Sniffer Utility does not recognised the stick. Even putting it in and out or erasing some com preset - nothing is of help. By the way, there are no LED lighting ont the stick.
I moved the stick around to my various USB-Ports: No result.
How to solve the issue and bring the stick to work?
Cheers,
Tarik

Can you post a screenshot of the Windows COM port settings, and let us know which version of Windows you're using and which version of the FTDI driver you have installed?

Re: Not working ? Bluefruit LE Sniffer 2269
I have tested primarily using WIN7 64 bit.
However, to complete picture, same for WIN XP 32 bit. For XP I used the most up to date FTDI driver available on http://www.ftdichip.com/FTDrivers.htm.
Screnshots attached are taken from WIN7.
Communication settings are 8N1, port speed varied - 9.6, 57.2 , 115.2
Thanks for your questions,
Tarik

Can you try turning HW flow control on for your serial port (CTS + RTS)?

Re: Not working ? Bluefruit LE Sniffer 2269
Ok, yes. Just done. I tested all 3 control options (Hardware, XON/XOff, None), but without any result.
Even I do not think a reboot is required for changing these settings, I performed one.
I would like to add that the chipset is determined as
FTDIBUS\COMPORT&VID_0403&PID_6015 and FTDI driver is loaded, so it works all right.
But on the other hands side, none of the LEDs are switched on, or blink.
Does it indicate a certain issue?
Cheers,
Tarik
