Faulty Microcontroller - the green LED does not flash

Post by Meztek »

As described here, the green LED does not flash. I have carefully assembled the kit up to the IC test, but after putting batteries in and pressing the button, the LED does not flash.

I have checked and rechecked my batteries. I have verified that all other components are working and have been soldered correctly. I have double checked that there are no solder bridges.

After reading this post for help, I have concluded that I have the same problem.

I've removed the battery and the microcontroller and replaced them and it still doesn't work. I have also tested the green LED and it works fine. It looks like a microcontroller issue and I need a replacement.

Any advice is appreciated.
