SOLVED: IR led's always on

Postby osbock » Wed Oct 19, 2011 7:55 am

Hi,
I have had a v1.2 kit sitting on my bench for a while (mostly assembled) and I finished it last night. I noticed the pnp transister get hot, and when I looked at it through my cell phone camera, the LED's are always on (not pulsing as I would expect.

I know it's probably an error on my part, but any clues as to where to look?

Never mind. Re-flashed the firmware and all is well. Is this kind of bitrot common?

Maybe the firmware was corrupted or it was earlier than v1.2 firmware?
