Hi,
I've just built my TVBgone 1.2 from the kit and it doesn't work.
The led test didn't work either.
I've attached photos of both sides, the soldering is pretty clean and I don't know what could be wrong.
I didn't put the switch and LEDs all the way in because I want to move them in a custom case, but they are fixed and soldered.
By the way, I wanted to replace the switch with another off(on) switch and read it could just be connected through two holes for the switch, the ones closer to the "+" of the batteries, is this correct?
Thanks in advance for your advices.

Which of the LED tests didn't work? Does the green LED blink when you press the reset button? The led test didn't work either.

No, the green LED didn't blink, I still assembled the rest according to the instrucitons on the site to see if that worked, but it didn't.

Re: Assembled kit doesn't work
On the bottom side view, one of the leads for the transistor doesn't appear to be soldered correctly?? It may be an optical illusion, but there doesn't seem to be a solder connection to the pad.

Re: Assembled kit doesn't work
The likely causes are:No, the green LED didn't blink
1) the green led is reversed (can't really tell from the photo)
2) the microcontroller is not functioning.
Double check the green led orientation. Typically, there is a flat section on the edge at the base of the plastic near the negative lead.

Re: Assembled kit doesn't work
Thanks for your reply,
The LED is in the right position and I also tested with another LED actually, just to be sure.
What can I do if the microcontroller isn't working properly?
Thank you.

Contact [email protected] with a link to this thread and ask for a replacement TV-B-Gone processor.

You might also check that you have the right transistor in Q5. Can't really tell from the picture, but the case on Q5 looks like the cases on Q1, Q2, and Q3. Q4 looks different from the other four. Make sure Q4 and Q5 aren't swapped.

Re: Assembled kit doesn't work
Hello,
Thank you for taking the time to look at this. The transistors are correct, they all look the same except from what's written on the back, and Q5 is the right one (PN2907), the other four are the same (PN2222).
I will contact support.
