Housing or casing?

Post by Duckbites »

Does Adafruit produce a housing or shell for TVBGone? The raw power I feel coming off this tiny device is intimidating, plus I feel I might break the cables (again).

If you don't make one, are there some general DIY hints about creating something to protect it?

Would Sugru do the trick?

People have hidden them in all sorts of clever containers: Mint tins, old cell-phone cases, flashlights, hats, ties, sonic screwdrivers etc. I'm sure a lot could be done with Sugru too.

If I used Sugru to adhere the circuit card to the battery case, would there be any electrical problems? Shorts or crossed pulses?

No. Sugru is non-conductive.

Link is to my final product.

Chose silicon glue instead and an eyeglasses case.

Thanks for the help.
