I just recently assembled the kit, but in the final test I was not picking up anything from the LEDs on top of the unit in my cellphone's camera.
I am totally at a loss as to what would be a problem, I followed the instructions to every detail, but I'm unsure whether it's my own soldering or if I overlooked something
Attached are 2 images of each side of the board and a short video of the unsuccessful final test

any help, advice, etc is greatly appreciated, thank all of you!

The soldering looks fine. Double check the markings on the transistors. Q5 should be different from Q1 - Q4.

As it turns out, my phone just doesn't pick up the light from the LEDs, I tested it on a television and it worked perfectly!

Cool! What kind of phone was it? Most of them don't have IR filters, but apparently some do.
