Meet My Valentine, TV-B-Gone on Atmega 168

Post by ghpk »

I can't express in words, How excited I am about this build.
Earlier I've tried a lot to source the parts but always failed at some point.

Now with my latest itch about Arduino, I tested TV-B-Gone on Uno R3 and then bought a Pro Mini.

Had some issues initially as I got ATmega168 instead of 328 but now I managed to complete it.
Now only issue is getting a battery which fits in this Flip Cover, button cells are now giving enough juice.

There are couple of Reason for choosing a Flip Cover
I used to sell these on some online store and had these left overs.
Used them as I can pretend I am on the phone while the IR LED would Burst the Sweetness ;)
They would be least suspected as every other person now a days carry similar cellphone.
With IR Placed on Top side, I can even hold the flipcover upside down, bursting Love to TV's behind me without even
need to face them.

I ripped opened 2 OLD remotes for getting those 2 white IR LEDs on each corner, Dark ones are from my hobby stock.
Skipped the region selection for time being as both Samsung and Sony are getting instantly Kicked OFF so I might now need Euro Codes.

Today Its Valentine Day and I am Going out to spend it with hell lot of TVs ;)
