Arduino Yun power consumption

Post by judson »

I just bought a Yun to use on a mobile robot. I plan to power it using a 5v UBEC supplied by a battery pack, so I need to know how much current it will draw -- in particular, whether a 9v battery will be sufficient.

Just sitting by itself, doing nothing, a Yun will draw around 200mA.

Thanks. So I'm going to guess it might go to 400ma at peak activity, plus whatever load is on the outputs.

The load really shouldn't change at peak activity. I think you can use 200mA plus output loads for your estimate.
