Trinket Pro Battery Issue

Post by mustangnerd »

I have a 5V Trinket Pro with a mic amp (MAX 9814) connected to the 5V and G near the USB and pin A0. There's also a 16 Neopixel ring connected to the 5V and GND at the FDTI end and pin 6. I attached a JST socket on the backside. Everything world great when powered with the USB. But, when the 3.7V 150mAh battery is plugged in the green power light comes on, the red #13 LED flashes, then nothing. What am I missing?

The FTDI 5v pin in nominally an input. Internally it is connected to the USB VBUS pin. Those pins won't supply power unless connected via an FTDI cable or USB cable.
