Hi, I'm doing a project in where I want to interface the touch part of the "HDMI 5" 800X480 DISPLAY BACKPACK - WITH TOUCHSCREEN" to an MSP430F5529. When I first read the datasheet on the AR1100 chip I noticed its UART compatibility, but after working with it a bit I don't think their is a way to access the Rx and Tx (Pins 10 and 12) off of the PCB. Is this correct? I guess I could try and solder a jump directly, but its a friend's screen ( and its a little expensive) and I don't want to mess it up.
Here's a picture illustrating my predicament.
Thanks for any help,
Andy

The schematic is here. TX and RX are not brought out on the board.
