download logger RTClib

Postby bethesdakid » Wed Jul 18, 2012 12:58 pm

Cant open GitHub to download RTClib because the 12 year old Macbook Pro G4 uses OS 10.3 and GitHub people say OS 10.6 is the OS to use. How can I build libraries for the logger shield ( presume there are others that are needed) with my old OS MAC?? In the future, you should have updated libraries from GitHub available for those with similar OS problems, MAC or PC... Don't you think? or else state that you need such and such OS.
BTW The only problem that I have that hasn't been solvable by relentless trickery or help since working with the Arduino ARDX R3... recommended it to other post NASA colleagues

Is the problem with running the GitHub software package? You shouldn't need to do that.

Just download the .zip from the RTClib page and unzip it. I would think even 10.3 will handle .zip files.

your help cleared up issues. RTC tests nominal, Logger script compiles.

HOWEVER, if the DHT11 or DHT22 was on digital 2 and that is used by logger, can the DHT input be digital 9, 12, or 13?
What pin would you recommend for the DHT ? ditto the force sensor? ditto the temp transistor? When ALL on the logger board????

Is there an USB output connector that fits a thumb drive and is there also a program for driving it.?

You should be able to put the DHT on any free pin. Analog sensors will need to be on of the analog pins. But digital sensors can use analog or digital pins.
