FLORA vs Arduino

Post by rogerengineer »

Hello,

I have a question regarding the right platform to use.

I wanted to know how powerful the FLORA System is. Would it be able to handle functionality from the following modules?:

-And Bluetooth

On the FLORA site it says it will be able to connect to these modules but I just want to make sure before I start. My main question is if I should use an Arduino or the FLORA? On the website in mentions that "The FLORA's modules include: Bluetooth, GPS, 3-axis accelerometer, compass module, flex sensor, piezo, IR LED, push button, embroidered + capacitive keypad, OLED and more." I did not see any more info about these modules.

My project will involve taking inputs from the sensors mentioned above and changing the pattern of 20 Adafruit Smart Pixel LEDs accordingly. (i.e more motion + music = Pattern A). The bluetooth will be a final feature and possibly controlled by a mobile app.

Please let me know if you have any ideas on how I should move forward.

Thanks!!

flora modules are still being designed and manufactured - FLORA will work with all those modules but itll be easier for you to follow our tutorials with an UNO
