How to place an indicator light for 24 VDC Solenoid Valve?

by guccyi on Thu May 30, 2013 9:43 am

So I'm using Arduino and relay shield to control five 24 VDC solenoid valves for my project.

Now I want to place an indicator light (LED, 5 total) to each valve so the light comes on whenever the valve opens.

How would I wire it? Would I need 24 V LED lights? I believe it wouldn't be that difficult.

Thank you so much!

You would just need to add a current limiting resistor in series with the led. The resistor value depends partly on the type of led. See this guide for details and calculations:
