GSM breakout board in development anywhere?

Hey folks. I want to connect my projects to the Internet using GSM, and while the newly minted GSM shield from Arduino looks cool - its huge if you're working with Femtoduinos/Arduino Micros. Is there any hope that someone out there is working on (Lady Ada & company I'm nodding in your direction) a way for us to connect our projects to the Internet in a cellular way without them being monstrously large?

Thanks Franklin. That's close to what I'm looking for - its still somewhat bid though. Was hoping for something closer to the module size - ideally something Zigbee sized
