Packaging question ... it works, now how to mount it?

Post by technerdchris »

Hi!

I've got my Arduino Uno and a 1.8" TFT/Joystick shield that are the brains and display for a testbench I made. Now, what to do for packaging this setup to get used by my employees?

I've got a 3D printer and sort of printed out a box for my boards... but they're all so tall! Arduino Uno, Proto shield, and display shield.

Couldn't I get a Teensy and glue it to the bottom of the display shield?? Then that can fit in a normal Arduino box that everyone makes??

I added pictures of the test bench itself. I added a short piece of L - channel to the side of the bench to mount the "Arduino pack" to... But I'd like something more spatially economic. What do you all think? :D

Sure. A Teensy or an Arudino Micro could be used for a more compact package. You just need to connect 4-wires for the display. 2 more for the SD card and one for the joystick.

The menta is another favorite of mine. It combines the fucntionality of an Arduino and proto-shield on one board. http://www.adafruit.com/products/795
