I need to have a 5V regulator in my project but also want to power the Micro itself from this. Seems a bit crazy to have a 9V regulator to power the Micro, which in itself is a 5V device, and also have the 5V regulator to power my other devices. I need a bit more power than the 5V out can provide.
Question is can I eliminate the 9V reg and just use the 5V reg and still have a stable processor? I won't be using the 5V out of the Micro.
Cheers,
Nick

Re: Powering a Arduino Micro
If you have regulated 5v power, you can use it to power the micro directly via the 5v pin.
