Post by marck1 »

I want to buy 4 Arduino Ethernet with PoE from you but I do not see them on your website, can I order or is there a replacement part number?

That is not an item we carry. What is the application you need them for and could you use these instead?

That is cool. Exactly what I was looking for. Once cable to carry both power and data, plus it's cheaper. I know the POE Arduino is like $80. I will order today. Thanks

The Arduino Ethernet shield PID: 201 does not have a 2.1mm jack to receive the plug from the PoE Injector Cable Set PID: 435.

Can I just plug the Ethernet RJ45 connector straight in to the shield to power it and use the injector and a DC 'wall-wort' (9VDC PID: 63) at the opposite end (at my router) to drive it?

Said differently, will the 9VDC PoE power be brought thru the on-board RJ45 to the Vin of the Arduino?

That board has no provisions for power over ethernet.

Boy do I feel stupid... I ordered the wrong part.... I meant to order Arduino Uno Ethernet, it has the DC jack I was looking for .... and the Uno! Too many late night coding sessions I guess.
Thanks
