Hi

I am using this tutorial"https://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-1-w ... g-and-test" to measure temperature of multiple k-type thermocouples with MAX3850. I have two problems working with this setup: 1. the resolution is zero but in tutorial it shows 12.
2. it always shows the temperature as 0 C (32 F)
Would you please help me to find where the problem is?

This is the snapshot of connections in parasitic power on.

It is hard to see in your photos, but I don't see a ground connection between the Arduino and the rest of your circuitry.

Closer shots of the circuits are attached.
Same result with external and parasitic power

From the output, it looks like the 1-wire interface is wired properly. What thermocouples are you using. Have you tested them independent of the 31850 boards?

I am using K-type thermocouples and tested them. They work properly and showing room temperature (23C).

So, where is the problem? Why do thermocouples show 0c when they are connected to 31850?

Try moving the circuit to a different place on the breadboard and using only one board until we get this sorted.

I moved the circuit to a different place and it still is not working.

Have you tried wiring just one of the MAX31850 boards? We are not sure what the issue is at the moment. We are consulting with some of the other engineers.

I downloaded all the libraries again and it magically worked.
Thanks BTW for your help.

Glad it is working for you. We were all puzzled because we have not seen that problem before.
