BNO055 Sensor - no output on serial monitor

HI,
This is my first time with arduino or any electronics.
I bought the Adafruit BNO055 absolute orientation sensor, and a arduino start kit.
Following all the steps @ https://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-bno ... r/overview
i realise i dont get any output in my serial monitor.
does anybody have any tips?

Please post clear, detailed pictures of both sides of the module, showing your soldering and wiring
