Hi people,
Just an update, I have the kit together as specified, I had to change it to $95 including postage to anywhere. The only exception to this is France, as I have had some stuff sent back to me from there, it is not returned however in a registered satchel, so people in France (or anyone else, if they like), can get it sent registered for $15 more.
I will now be contacting the people by email / PM who posted or PMed me in the order I was contacted in. If I miss out on someone let me know, or if you want to go on the waiting list, as I'm trying to get some more kits together as I have spares of some of the components.
The kit contains the following:
95 x 1SS133(T-77) - Rohm Diodes.
04 x 2SA798-(G) - Mitsubishi Dual PNP Common Emmitter Transistors.
22 x 2SA1115-(F) - PNP Transistors.
57 x 2SC2603-(F) - NPN Transistors.
02 x 2SC2878-(A) - Toshiba NPN High Reverse Current Gain Transistors.
02 x 2SD1469-(R) - Rohm Medium Power NPN Transistors.
01 x CA3080E - OTA
02 x CD4006 - 18 Bit Static Shift Register
03 x CD4011U - Quad 2-Input NAND - (U => UNBUFFERED)
03 x CD4013 - Dual D-type Flip Flop
03 x CD4040 - 12 State Binary Counter
02 x CD4051 - 8 Bit Data Selector (Single 8-ch. Multiplexer/Demultiplexer)
04 x CD4069U - Hex Inverters - (U => UNBUFFERED)
01 x CD4070 - Quad Exclusive OR
02 x CD4520 - Dual Binary Counter
06 x CD40174 - HEX D Flip Flop
01 x CA339E - Quad Comparator.
I would also strongly suggest consulting Kevin's (Subatomicglue's) 9090 worklog, as he has done a fantastic job documenting the construction of the 9090, describing it in detail step by step. He also shows how to mount some of these components, e.g., the 2SA1115 and the 2SC2603 correctly, and where to use the 2SA798's.

Re: ** Rare Parts Kit for the TR909 Clone '9090' - $95 **
I have contacted a couple people on here, who wanted one of these, but not had a reply. If you have changed your mind and don't want or need one, just let me know as these are running out. I don't want to have contacted you and then not have any left.

That's a good way to go, Adafruit has some other good stuff to practice building on. The end result is well worth the effort, and these make a perfect match for one or more x0xenParadigm X wrote:id love to build one of these but it all looks so complicated, im a total noob at all this.

Re: ** Rare Parts Kit for the TR909 Clone '9090' - $95 **
iwould love building a 909 clone - but i rather make one with an intergrated step sequenser.
anybody know of any project that made the 9090 with a sequenser?
anybody know of a sequenser project that could be used together with the 9090?
if this is possible id be up for a rare parts kit!

Re: ** Rare Parts Kit for the TR909 Clone '9090' - $95 **
Hi people,
I have just finished moving house and getting my phone and net connected finally . While I was waiting, I got a few more 'Rare' parts for the incomplete 9090 kits I had left over, and I also did a group buy for some more x0xb0x parts, so I have some of these also. If someone wants a 9090 kit, now is the time to grab one as they will be the last ones I put together .

Hey Gaetano,
Do you still have these parts up for grabs?
I should really finish my x0xb0x first, but I've caught the DIY audio bug

Hi yes,
I still have some, but one got lost and cost me $95, so I am only sending them via a registered prepaid satchel (+$15 extra, I actually offered this to everyone and most accepted it the first time I sent them out), i.e., $110 total, the good news is that you can fit at least 2 of these in it for the same price (or a x0x kit or 3!).
Just for reference:
1 Kit = $110
2 kits = $205

Hi People I am in the process of getting a quote for some panels for the 9090 front and rear.
The rear will probably be Black with white writing, drilled and punched.
The front will probably be raw Aluminium drilled and engraved with black in the engraved lettering.
They will be designed for this easily available IEC Plug / Fuse / Switch combo (if I can I will probably send one with the panels).

The panels will fit this case:

The case is a Cheval PF-19 2UDBLK:
http://www.chevalgrp.com/pf_19.php
It would be easy to use these panels on a wooden case, so you don't need to purchase the actual PF-19 Case (I won't be supplying these as the postage would be insane due to their weight!).
If you are interested in a set of panels, PM me on the Adafruit forum here.
or post on the introspectiv forum: http://uk.groups.yahoo.com/group/introspectiv/
, and when I get a price I will contact the ones who want one, and let them know how much. I have not been quoted yet.

Re: **** Panels & Rare Parts Kit for the TR909 Clone '9090' ****
A preliminary price for the panel Sets is $230 US for the Pair of Panels for the 9090 , but only if people want 8 more sets, as I will probably only do 10 sets as they don't get much cheaper for doing even 50 sets plus, as the setup fees are so very high. If this goes okay, I'll probably do some more panels that I want for other projects. I don't want any money up front, just PM me if you are interested, and when I get the final quote, I'll let people know first come first served, as I said only 8 on offer as I will be using 2 for myself.
