I bought some off of E-Bay, they came. I then realized that i hit the wrong auction and got 3mm LEDs rather than 5mm. Whoops. So i did what any good Roland patriot would do, put them into my 303 =o] I found the proper auction and have them on the way =o] I also got some for my 101.

Just a quick question for Substyler. Will you be selling these panels on your shop? I looked and I couldn't find them anywhere on you site, except for a picture of a x0xb0x modeling with it. I am thinking about buying a x0xb0x kit from Willzyx later this year, and definitely would be interested in getting an awesome faceplate at that time.

Beta, I think the prices are the same. But I suggest sending Substyler a PM to be sure.
btw, the pict in that gallery is actually the old overlay. The new metal panels are rather nicer quality I think 8)

Prices are the same between what? I am talking about buying the faceplate from Substyler, not the x0xb0x. I don't want to send him a PM about buying the faceplate yet, as I am not planning to get the x0xb0x until the end of this year.

Christ. I give up.
Just pm substyler. He'll tell you whatever it is that you want to know about the panels.

hi x0xers,

so end of next week I'll get the first load of black frontpanels with tb-303 style.
the plates are black powder coated (with a slightly structure to fit them better to the PacTec case) and silver silkscreened.
looking great! (trust me ;))
pictures later...

cheers

Sorry about the confusion Luap, I PM'd Substyler and got my answer. On a more friendly note;

In the picture you posted on page three of this thread where you showed your x0xb0x modeling the 303 style panel, were the flat top red LED's you used clear, or diffused. They look pretty darn cool, but I could screw up the look of a x0xb0x if I used the wrong lens style.

Thanks!

hi x0xers out there

just wanted to let you know: the black plates are finally here ;)
Image
the front- and backplates have a slightly structure (like the PacTec enclosure) and fine silver silkscreening... yesss... silver and not boring grey
1.5mm thick and of course the holes fits perfect ;)

cheers
SubStyler

ps. the other black fontpanels with white/orange are still in production

That looks pretty good Substyler 8) I think I may get one for my other x0xb0x, as I have taken it apart so many times, the original one is starting to look a little rough. There are a couple of other small things I may like to get from you also, so i'll drop you a pm shortly.

Sorry for the delay in reply to this. I had lost track of the thread until Substyler posted in it today.
Those LED's I got from Adafruit when they were still selling x0xb0x parts. I believe they were offered as an alternative in their kits.
I don't know the exact specs, but they were described as "Flat white diffused red led pack" (They came with the correct spacers too) Phil or Limor from Adafruit might be able to give you more info if you are still interested.
