announcing openmusiclabs

Postby guest » Mon Aug 23, 2010 4:31 am

not exactly x0x related
but it could be

i just finished helping a friend
start an audio kit business
http://www.openmusiclabs.com/
the first offering is the MICrODEC
a reprogrammable audio processor
more digital than analog
but fun none the less

it comes preprogrammed with 16 functions
including a pretty insane time based distortion

after things settle out
there will hopefully be more kits
im thinking about a battery pack for the x0x
but theres no shortage of ideas out there

were still working some of website bugs out
so bear with us
and let us know what you think

that wouldnt be too tough
is there a certain size it needs to be
or is it just the electrical connections

you can just run +15v/gnd into the power jack
and it should work just fine

Buy one  They are not that expensive, considering. I have one, and it's quite wild. A x0xb0x going in doesn't sound much like a x0xb0x coming out. They are prone to creating ear splitting feedback noises too.. But they are pretty cool 8)

A T-Resonator in kit form would likely be more expensive than the Jomox original.
But yes, I don't doubt that guest could rustle up some cool stuff 8)

It looks like it would be easy to modify to a Modular , Just run fly-wire up to the pots.
Seeing as its open source....
