I've put together 3 additional devices and none of the three output video when the bootloader is running,as soon as I reboot to stage 2 the video comes thru. I have abunch more to build but I need to resolve what is happening here - any ideas?
My first device works perfectly.
I can get to the "web" page of stage one (after I find the IP) but no video to the TV until stage2. Any help appreciated.

Re: Stage 1 - No Video
Does that behavior happen on just one TV monitor, or more than one? I have a screen of mine that is sensitive to how "black" the background color is.
If I try to use the color code $01 as "black" for a background color the screen will shut off. I have to use color value $02 or higher in the palette for the black background color.

Sounds like a pretty sensitive sync detector on the tv and no AGC before it.
Try running it thru a VCR, the AGC on that (which is what macrovision screws with) may help get the levels back somewhat more normal.
