newbie: Ybox2 kit problem: resistor R11

Post by chris »

Hi,

I am currently building a Ybox2, but I have a problem with R11; in the online soldering-instructions it says:
R11 (2.32K, in this photo we show a 2.0K resistor but your kit may have a slightly different value) used by the Ethernet circuitry to set how powerful the signal is.

I had 16 Resitors in my kit and I have two left:
green-blue-brown-gold
brown-brown-red-orange-red (blue-ish resistor like R2, R3,R9 & R10)

which one should I use ? This is not very clear for me ?

thx,

Chris

You want to use the 2nd one and the color code is the other way around: red-orange-red-brown-brown (2.32k +/- 1%).

I was confused as well as I mistook this resistor as one of the other high precision resistors.
