Touch shield with propeller

Post by egenriether »

Has anyone tried to port the driver for the touch screen TFT shield to a propeller chip? I'm doing a project and I currently plan to use an arduino to drive the screen and have the propeller do all of the other I/O. It will send bits to the arduino (from the prop) telling it what to display, which will be an image (or text) that is stored on the arduino. I was wondering if it was possible to skip the arduino part and just use the shield, as I will have enough processing power and I/O with just the propeller, but I don't know if thats been done before and if so how the touch shield performed. Thanks,

Brian

the propeller should be able to talk to the TFT display - it has the speed and pins but we only have the library for arduino
