Thermocouple Amplifier WITH A 10K NTP sensor

Post by Ultrasonic2 »

i would like to know if your brake out board (http://www.adafruit.com/products/269) will work with a 10k NTP sensor. it would seem that most people use this brake out board for roasting coffee beans at hundreds of degrees where i want to use it to sense water temp from 0 to 60c.

Q1 will it work with a 10k NTP sensor.

Q2 will it be accurate and out put the correct temp in c

Q3 can it read below 0

a 10k NTP sensor
Do you mean "NTC"? Those are thermistors. The board is designed for a K-type thermocouple.

You don't need anything special to interface to a 10K thermistor. This tutorial shows you how:

Another good choice in a waterproof sensor is this one: http://www.adafruit.com/products/381. It is good for up to 100C. (we have a higher-temp version as well).
